Constructed from a mix of concrete and wood fibres, WoodStone nest boxes are long lasting and extremely well insulated. They safeguard against attacks from predators including woodpeckers, cats and squirrels offering birds a safe place to raise their young. The material naturally insulates the nest which creates a more consistent internal temperature than ordinary wooden nest boxes. This is especially important during the breeding season and ensures that young birds have a greater chance of survival.

WoodStone bird nest boxes are suitable for siting on houses, walls and trees. We recommend using aluminium nails to hang in trees because they are non-harmful to trees.

28mm – Blue, Marsh, Coal and Crested Tit, possibly Wren
32mm – Great, Blue, Marsh, Coal and Crested Tit, Redstart, Nuthatch, Collared and Pied Flycatcher, Wryneck, Tree and House Sparrows, bats.

All other species are prevented from using the nest box due to this smaller entrance hole.
